The Journal of Biological control is one of the best Journals published by the Society for biocontrol advancement.  The journal is published half yearly and is a leading journal that publishes original articles on all aspects relating to biological suppression of pests (insects, mites, vertebrates, pathogens and weeds) of crop plants and animal diseases) using the predators, parasitoids,  fungus, bacteria, virus and other microbials.

The articles on general biology , epidemology, ecology of the natural enemies, mass production techniques, screening of pesticides to the bioagents, conservation technologies using different methods , bio-intensive pest management studies etc ., are considered for publication.

Members only are eligible to publish the articles in the Journal of Biological control. Articles submitted by non members will also be considered for publication on payment of printing charges. The articles will be reviewed by the experts and based on the recommendations of the refree the articles will be accepted or rejected. All the authors should agree to send their articles for refereeing by the experts/editors. All the articles published in the Journal of Biological Control will be the sole property of the SBA. The decision of the Editorial committee will be final and binding for all the authors.

Format for submission of the articles
 
The full text articles should include Title, authors name and address with email, Abstract, Key words, Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and discussion, acknowledgement and references. The data may be presented in the form of table, figures and  graphs. Research note should also contain Abstract, Keywords, Text, acknowledgments and references. Photographs  will not be entertained generally. However in exceptional case (like new reports or description of species) the photographs will be accepted. However the authors should bear all the photomaking charges.

Copies of the articles should also be sent through email to tanplal@yahoo.com or nbakthavatsalam@yahoo.com or through a CD. Articles should also accompany a certificate from the primary author that the article has not been published or considered for publication or sent to publication to any other journals.  A declaration should be submitted to the effect that the publication right of the article will lie with the publishers.
 

As soon as the August 2000 issue of our newsletter is complete, it will be added to this section here. Each month the newsletter will include latest news, interesting facts, upcoming events, and member names.
