NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON BIOLOGICAL CONTROL OF SUCKING PESTS 26-27th May 2006 at Bangalore
The national symposium on Biological control of sucking pests was conducted at Institution of Agriculutral
Technologists, Queens road, Bangalore. The sympsoium was inaugurated by Prof G. K. Veeresh, Former Vice Chancellor, University
of Biological Control, Bangalore. Prof S. Jayaraj, Former Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore
delivered key note address. Dr. T.P.Rajendran, Assistant Director General (Plant Protection), Indian Council of Agricultural
research was the guest of honour. There were around 80 participants from different parts of the country. There were 5 lead
speakers covering very important topics on the various sucking pests. SAround 55 papers were presented in various oral/ poster
presentations. Several recommendations have emerged during the deliberations.
The abstract of the papers has been brought out as a proceedings. This will be sent free cost to the
intersted members on payment of Rs 75 towards handling charges.
